When preparing a funeral, you want to make sure that you are honoring your loved one in as many ways as possible. That includes choosing funeral flowers in Moline, IL. Flowers at a funeral show care for the deceased and add weight to the ceremony. If you are attending a funeral, flowers are a way to show sympathy.
Here are a few ways to choose funeral flowers and make sure that arrangements are tasteful.
Avoid Bright or Big Arrangements
Funerals are a somber occasion, no matter what the circumstances are. Your funeral flowers in Moline, IL should match the occasion at hand. Opt for muted colors, such as white or pastel, instead of deep red, bright pink, fuchsia, or other vibrant shades. You also don’t want arrangements or bouquets that are too ostentatious in terms of size. Opt for more subdued florals that enhance the occasion instead of clashing with it.
Choose Flowers with Special Meanings
Certain flowers are chosen for funerals because of their meaning. Lilies represent sympathy, chrysanthemums are symbols of grief throughout the world, and roses mean love and affection.
If you want to send a flower with meaning but don’t know what to pick, ask a trusted professional such as K’nees Florist & Gifts. They can let you know what they mean.
Opt for a Bespoke Arrangement
Many florists offer custom arrangements for funeral flowers in Moline, IL. That way, you can choose the flowers quickly and then focus on grieving and honoring your loved one, or supporting a grieving friend or family member.
